Shopmobility

Open | 11am – 2pm Tuesday & Thursday

This scheme enables people with limited mobility to borrow  manual wheelchairs or powered scooters on a temporary or permanent basis for shopping at the Swan Centre and in the Town Centre.

Hiring
£20 hiring fee
Identification is required.
If after that you decide to join the scheme, your £20 will count as your membership fee for one year.

The Swan Centre has an accessible toilet and Blue Badge parking is provided in the Swan Centre Car Park within 40 metres of Shopmobility.

Toilets

The recently refurbished ladies, gents and accessible toilets are located at the Leret Way entrance to the Centre along with baby change facilities.

Stairs & Lifts

The Swan Centre has both stairs and two passenger lifts for access to the Car Park from directly within the Centre. Additional lifts belonging to Sainsbury’s are available within their store for customers.

The lifts and stairs are being renovated in 2019 as part of Mole Valley District Council’s Transform Leatherhead improvement works,  the key dates are below:

  • Mid Jan 2019 – early Apr 2019: One passenger lift and one goods lift will be replaced.
  • Mid Apr 2019 – end of May 2019: The second passenger lift and second goods lift will be replaced.
  • Late May 2019 – early July: The stairwell will be reconfigured and will be out of operation.

N.B. the Sainsbury’s lifts will not be affected by these works.
